Free Learn to Skate classes for beginners to intermediate skaters & JAM

ABOUT THIS EVENT

As part of the Tricks and Laughs Festival come along to the Ulladulla Skatepark for FREE Community Skate Workshops & JAM!

Learn to Skate Beginner class & Mentoring Skate Session followed by a Skate & Scooter JAM with loads of prizes up for grabs!

SCHEDULE
11:00 am - 11:15 am: Official event opening & Welcome to Country
11:15 am - 11:30 am: Beginner class registration
11:30 am - 12:15 am: Beginner skate class (45-minute class. Suitable for newcomer and beginner skaters with little to no experience on a board and at a skatepark.)
12:15 am - 12:20 am: Skate Demo
12:20 am - 12:35 pm: Mentoring Session registration for Intermediate Skaters.
12:35 pm - 1:20 pm: *Mentoring Session for Intermediate Skaters
*45min class. Suitable for skaters who know the foundational skills and want to start exploring tricks and advance to the next level.
1:20 pm - 1:30 pm: JAM Registration - (5 years and over)
1:30 pm - 1:40 pm: Skate & Scooter JAM grouping
1:40 pm - 2:00 pm: Open - Scooter(5 years and over)
2:00 pm- 2:10 pm: U14s - Skate Grouping
2:10 pm - 2:25 pm: U14s Jam - Skate
2:25 pm - 2:35 pm: Group Opens - Skate Grouping
2:35 pm - 2:50 pm: Opens Jam - Skate
2:50 pm - 3:00 pm: Community Interaction / Close program hand out Stickers

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ

WAIVER FORM - Participants must complete our ONLINE WAIVER FORM HERE before they can skate. Please try to have this done before you get to the skatepark.

THE WAIVER FORM IS NOT A TICKET.
Spots are limited, and bookings are essential via our Eventbrite page.

* This is an outdoor event. Postponement and cancellation is subject to weather conditions and can happen anywhere from 48 hours to 2 hours before a workshop. We cannot skate in the rain or on wet grounds.

Equipment: Professional grade Skateboard, helmet, and safety pads (optional) are provided for all classes. You are also welcome to bring your own equipment and get a free safety check by the pros!
