Free Learn to Skate classes for beginners to intermediate skaters & JAM

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Come along to the NEW Ewing Park Recreation Precinct, Bendigo to attend our FREE Community Skate Workshops, and JAM!

Learn to skate beginner class and Mentoring skate session followed by a Skate and scooter JAM with loads of prizes up for grabs!

This workshop is for 6 years and over.

SCHEDULE

9:00 am: Event Opening

9:00 am - 9:15 am: Beginner class registration

9:15 am - 10:15 am: Beginner skate class (1hr class. Suitable for newcomer and beginner skaters with little to no experience on a board and at a skatepark.)

10:15 am - 10:20 am: Skate Demo

10:20 am - 10:35 am: Mentoring session registration or Intermediate Skaters.

10:35 am - 11:20 am: *Mentoring session for Intermediate Skaters *45min class. Suitable for skaters who know the foundational skills and want to start exploring tricks and advance to the next level.

11:20 am - 11:30 am: JAM Registration - (Open to all ages.)

11:30 am - 11:40 am: Skate & Scooter JAM grouping

11:40 am - 12:00 noon: Open - Scooter(5 years and over)

12:00 Noon - 12:10 pm: U14s - Skate Grouping

12:10 pm - 12:25 pm: U14s Jam - Skate

12:25 pm-12:35 pm: Group Opens - Skate Grouping

12:35 pm - 12:50 pm: Opens Jam - Skate

12:50 pm - 1:00 pm: Community Interaction / Close program hand out Stickers.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ

WAIVER FORM - Participants must complete our ONLINE WAIVER FORM HERE before they can skate. Please try to have this done before you get to the skatepark.

THE WAIVER FORM IS NOT A TICKET.
Spots are limited, and bookings are essential via our Eventbrite page.

* This is an outdoor event. Postponement and cancellation is subject to weather conditions and can happen anywhere from 48 hours to 2 hours before a workshop. We cannot skate in the rain or on wet grounds.

Equipment: Professional grade equipment, skateboard, helmet, and safety pads (optional) are provided for all classes. You are also welcome to bring your own equipment and get a free safety check by the pros!
