20th Annual Fernside Comp

  • Fernside Skatepark Elizabeth St & McEvoy St Waterloo, NSW, 2017 Australia (map)

Come join and celebrate the opening of Youth Week 2018 for the City of Sydney with Australia's longest running Skate Competition.

We’ve seen Skateboarding change and adapt to its environment over the last 20 years of this competition and this year is no different, boasting a massive $7,000.00 equal opportunity CASH prize pool. That means a whopping $1,500.00 1st place, $1,000.00 2nd and $750.00 3rd for both Opens and Open Women's divisions. Winners from both open divisions will also be granted the opportunity to be a Beach Burrito ambassador for a year(Free Burritos for a year, ay!). Oh and don’t forget the 4 x $125.00 best Trick giveaways! Making this year's 20th Anniversary Fenside Comp the Biggest Cash amount in its 20-year history and the wealthiest Girls only opens Street comp in Australia.

Everyone has come out to show support for this milestone of an event. We have Wade Burkett(Iconic Australian Skateboarder), Chris Vaughan(Sydney Skateboarder) and Dean Palmer(Australian Pro Skater) Judging the event. With Special guest judges being announced on the day for 4 x $125.00 best Trick sections.

Come down and watch Australia's best shred it to get their hands on the biggest ever prize pool seen at the Annual Fernside comp. Will also have a BBQ on offer, DJ keeping the vibes high and live Hip Hop from local artists.
